Some years ago it was unthinkable for a developer to work as a freelancer. I mean, the software was developed by a company and only within a company it could be distributed.

But fortunately the things have changed, more accurately, internet changed things. And now it is sustainable a new way of produce software. A small group of developers launch a product and accept donations through a website. From this point, the business luckily would become successfull.

This ideal situation happens not only with software developers but also with musicians, photographers, consultants, designers and so on. Usually the services and products are so good as the ones offered by a big company, sometimes better.

This makes me think of an old way of working. A tailored way of doing things. A passionated way, truly proffessional. Handcraft is returning to our days.
